PRP for Hair Loss

Your own blood is the material here. PRP hair restoration in Phoenix starts with a small draw from your arm, spun down in the room. Tasha Wright Ford, RN, maps and places every injection across the thinning areas.

Who It Suits

Where PRP Tends to Fit

early thinning at the part or crown treated with prp for hair loss in Phoenix

Early Thinning at the Part or Crown

PRP works on follicles that are still there and struggling, not on scalp that has gone smooth. Early is the word that matters. Tasha assesses density and pattern before she agrees you are a candidate.

How PRP Regrowth Works

What to expect, step by step

Treatment Day

Day 1

Your own blood is drawn, spun down in the room and placed across the thinning areas. The scalp is tender for a day and there is nothing to see yet.

The Series

Months 2-3

PRP is run as a series, typically three or four sessions a month apart. Shedding usually slows through the series before regrowth shows.

Regrowth

Months 6 and On

New growth reads as fine hairs first, then density. Most patients see the clearest change six months or more after the first session, with maintenance sessions after that.

Who Does the Work

Placed by a Master Injector

Scalp PRP is a mapping job. Hundreds of small placements, spaced evenly, at a consistent depth. It rewards the same hands that do precise facial work, which is why Tasha does it herself.

Tasha owns GlamWright Medical Boutique and brings 22+ years in nursing and 16+ years injecting. She maps and places every scalp treatment personally. Even placement across a thinning area is the whole technical difficulty of this service.

Dr. Mkrtchyan is our Medical Director and handles the medical side of hair loss. Iron, thyroid, and hormone status change whether PRP is worth starting, so she tests before a series is planned rather than after.

We photograph set areas of your scalp before the first session and at every review, under the same conditions. Hair changes too slowly to judge from memory, and the images keep both of us honest.

How We Work

How We Decide on a Series

PRP suits some scalps and not others, and the honest answer comes from an assessment rather than a booking page. We look at the pattern, rule out medical causes, and only then plan a series.

Step 01 · History

We Take a Full Health History

When it started, your medications, your family pattern, and anything that happened in the year before the shedding began. Blood conditions and some medications change whether PRP is appropriate at all.

  • When you first noticed it
  • Medication and supplement list

FAQ

PRP for Hair Loss Questions

PRP stands for platelet rich plasma. A small sample of your blood is drawn and spun in a centrifuge. That separates the plasma and platelets, which are then placed across the thinning areas of your scalp. Everything used comes from your own sample, which is why the draw happens at the same visit.

The scalp is sensitive and patients feel the placements, so numbing options are discussed with you before Tasha Wright Ford, RN, starts. Most people describe it as brief and manageable rather than painless. You can ask her to pause at any point, and she will.

PRP is done as a series rather than a single visit. The number depends on your pattern, your cause, and how your baseline photographs change. We will not quote you a package before assessing your scalp. Tasha gives you the plan, the spacing, and the full cost at your consultation.

Both are prepared from your own blood and both concentrate platelets. They differ in how the sample is spun and how the resulting material behaves once it is placed. This page covers PRP. Tasha will explain which preparation she uses for your case, and the reasoning, at your consultation.

Some blood and clotting conditions, certain medications, and pregnancy take it off the table. Scalp that has gone smooth is also past the point where PRP has anything to work with. We check all of that at the assessment, and a clear no is a normal outcome here.

No. Where follicles are gone, nothing non-surgical brings them back, and PRP is not an exception. It is aimed at follicles that are still present and struggling. If a transplant is the honest answer for your pattern, you will hear that rather than be sold a series.

They are two different things. The draw on the day supplies the material for treatment. Separately, Dr. Anna Mkrtchyan, Naturopathic Medical Doctor (NMD), may order a panel to check iron, thyroid, and hormone status. A treatable cause should be found before you commit to a series.
