What to expect, step by step
Day 1
Skin is red and warm, similar to a sunburn, and tight to the touch. Most of that settles by tonight or tomorrow morning.
Days 2-5
Redness fades and the skin may feel dry or flake lightly. Underneath, the micro-channels have closed and the repair response has started. Skin often reads brighter by the end of the week.
Weeks 4-8, per session
Collagen forms gradually, so texture and firmness keep improving for weeks after each session. Most patients run a series of three or more, spaced a month apart, and see the full result a couple of months after the last.

Microneedling passes fine needles through the surface of the skin to create controlled micro-channels. Your body reads those channels as something to repair and lays down collagen in response. Nothing is removed and nothing is injected. It is a structural treatment, which is why it is chosen for texture and scarring rather than for color.
Texture, acne scarring, enlarged pores, fine lines, and stretch marks are the common reasons patients book it. What it does not do is change pigment or redness, which are color problems handled by IPL or by a peel. Tasha Wright Ford, RN assesses your skin and tells you which category your concern falls into.
The cost depends on the area treated, the depth used, and whether your plan runs as a single session or a series. You leave with written aftercare rather than a verbal list, and what it says depends on the depth we used. Sun protection carries real weight in Phoenix, and certain skincare actives get paused. Topical numbing goes on first and we wait for it to take effect before starting. Most people describe pressure and vibration rather than sharpness, though bonier areas and deeper settings read stronger. We check in as we go, and we will slow down or stop whenever you ask us to.
Microneedling creates the channels and stops there. RF microneedling adds radiofrequency energy delivered through the needles, which brings heat into the deeper layers as well.
