What a Peel Addresses
Brown patches across the cheeks, the forehead, and the chest. Most of it was earned years before it surfaced.
A peel lifts the pigmented surface layer so newer skin can take its place. Where the pigment sits deeper, Tasha will route you to light or to a laser instead.
Ultraviolet exposure drives pigment cells to overproduce, and Arizona gives them plenty of reason to.
What to expect, step by step
Day 1
Skin feels tight and reads pink to red depending on depth. The depth Tasha chose after reading your skin decides everything that follows.
Days 2-7
Peeling starts around day two or three and runs for a few days. It is the treated layer retiring. Do not pull it; moisturise and let it go on its own.
Weeks 2-4
Fresh skin underneath reads smoother and more even. Deeper peels are one-offs; lighter ones are usually a short series a month apart.

Every plan follows a full health history and a facial assessment. Both happen before a peel is opened. Your barrier, your skin tone, and your recent sun exposure all change which chemistry is safe for you.
You hear what we would do, what we would not, and what it costs. If your barrier is compromised or your sun exposure is recent, we move your appointment rather than push a peel through.

A peel applies an acid solution so the outer layer loosens and sheds. Newer skin comes to the surface underneath it. The word covers a wide range, from light surface work to deeper treatments. What separates one peel from another is the chemistry used and how far down it reaches.
Sun damage, dark spots, uneven tone, dullness, congestion, and the way fine lines read on the surface. What a peel does not do is reach the deeper structural layer, which is where microneedling and energy treatments work instead. Tasha Wright Ford, RN will tell you which layer your concern actually lives in.
They are one of the standard tools for it. Much of the pigment from sun exposure sits in the layers a peel can reach. Deeper pigment often answers better to IPL or to our LaseMD Ultra laser. Living in Phoenix means we assess how far down your pigment actually sits before choosing.
