What to expect, step by step
Day 1
You leave looking fuller than you will next week. That is the water Sculptra is carried in, and it absorbs over a few days. The product itself has done nothing visible yet.
Weeks 4-8
This is the slow part. Your own collagen forms around the poly-L-lactic acid gradually, and the change is subtle enough that photos help. A second session usually sits in this window.
Months 3 to 2 Years
Most patients see the full effect a few months after the final session of a course. Because it is your own collagen, it holds well: studies put results at up to two years.

Most people need more than one session, spaced weeks apart, and the change arrives gradually across the months that follow. You hear how many sessions we expect and what the full course costs before the first one is booked.
We will not promise you a result and we will not point at somebody else's photographs as though they were yours. How much collagen you build is yours, and it varies.

No. A filler occupies space the moment it is placed. Sculptra is poly-L-lactic acid, and it works by prompting your own collagen to rebuild support where it has gone. That is why the result appears gradually rather than in the chair. It also means it cannot be dissolved.
It depends on how much support has gone and how your body responds. Sculptra is planned as a series, and Tasha reassesses between sessions rather than selling you a fixed course upfront. She gives you a realistic range at your consultation and updates it as the series runs.
Yes, and it matters. Massaging the treated area on the schedule we give you helps the product settle evenly across the field. Skipping it is one of the more common reasons a result reads uneven. You get the schedule in writing before you leave.
Bruising is possible, as it is with any injectable. Blood thinners, supplements such as fish oil, and alcohol all raise the odds, which is part of why we take a full health history first. Tasha flags the areas on your face where bruising is likelier before she places anything.
On your back where you can manage it, so the treated field is not pressed against a pillow while it settles. Patients who sleep face down are the ones who notice a difference. Your written aftercare covers sleeping position along with heat, exercise and massage.
No. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with an enzyme, but Sculptra works through your own collagen response and cannot be undone that way. That is exactly why the assessment matters. Tasha places conservatively and reassesses between sessions rather than committing a face upfront.
Certain autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, a history of keloid scarring, active infection in the area, and pregnancy all change what is appropriate. Faces that have lost volume in one specific place are usually better served by a filler. Tasha works through all of this at your health history.
