Radiesse

Radiesse does two things at once. The calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres give structure the day they are placed, then prompt your own collagen as the gel around them clears. At our Phoenix boutique, Tasha Wright Ford, RN assesses whether your face needs that pairing.

  • Structure now, collagen response later
  • Placed by a Master Injector
  • Full health history before any treatment
  • No pressure and no upselling

What It Treats

Where Radiesse Is Placed

jawline definition treated with radiesse in Phoenix

Jawline Definition

A jawline needs a product that holds an edge rather than spreading along it. Radiesse is one of the firmest we place, which is why it suits this area. Tasha assesses skin laxity first, because structure alone does not fix a sagging jaw.

Causes+

Bone at the jaw angle resorbs and the soft tissue above it descends, so the edge of the jaw blurs into the neck.

How Radiesse Settles

What to expect, step by step

Treatment Day

Day 1

Radiesse gives structure the moment it is placed, with swelling on top. Unlike Sculptra, there is something to see today, though not the final version of it.

Gel Clears, Collagen Builds

Weeks 4-12

The gel carrying the microspheres is absorbed over the first weeks while your own collagen forms around them. The result softens slightly, then firms again as the collagen takes over.

Holding

Months 12-18

Because part of the result is your own collagen, Radiesse tends to hold longer than a hyaluronic acid filler in the same area. Most patients plan a repeat somewhere in this range.

Why Patients Choose Us

This One Does Not Dissolve

Radiesse is a calcium-based stimulator rather than a hyaluronic acid gel, so there is no product that reverses it. That single fact shapes how conservatively we place it.

Tasha owns GlamWright Medical Boutique and brings 22+ years in nursing and 16+ years injecting. Work that cannot be undone is work that has to be right the first time, which is why it is placed by the most experienced hands in the boutique.

Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved. Radiesse cannot, and it is not the right product for the lips or for very thin skin. If the area you are asking about is one of those, we will offer you something that can be taken back.

We see patients at 707 E Palo Verde Dr, Ste A, Phoenix, AZ 85014, in Uptown Phoenix. Call 602-469-8693 and we will find a time. Stimulator treatments are assessed in person, with the plan set before anything is opened.

Tasha is truly one of the kindest people you will ever meet, and her expertise in Botox is exceptional. I live in another state and still choose to wait to see her because she is that good. She is professional, knowledgeable, and always makes the experience comfortable. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for quality care and amazing results.

The Appointment

What a Radiesse Appointment Looks Like

The first appointment is mostly listening and measuring. We take your health history, assess proportion and skin quality together, then decide whether Radiesse is the product that suits the area.

Step 01 · History

We Take Your Health History

Every injectable plan starts with a complete health history. Medications, blood thinners, prior filler, autoimmune conditions and pregnancy all change what is appropriate. Dr. Anna Mkrtchyan, Naturopathic Medical Doctor (NMD), is our Medical Director.

  • Medications, supplements and blood thinners
  • Every prior filler and where it was placed
  • Health conditions that change the plan

FAQ

Radiesse Questions,
Answered

The questions we hear most at our Uptown Phoenix boutique. Anything specific to your face is answered at your consultation.

Calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. Calcium hydroxylapatite is a mineral your body already makes use of, and the microspheres stay behind once the gel around them clears. That is what gives Radiesse its structure on the day and its collagen response afterwards. Tasha explains both at your assessment.

Both, which is unusual. The microspheres give structure the day they are placed, so you see a change in the chair. As the gel around them clears, your own collagen builds in response. Tasha explains both timelines at the assessment so you know what you are looking at and when.

The same product mixed with much more fluid and placed in the skin rather than under it. At that dilution it stops working as structure and works on skin quality instead, which is why it is used on the neck and chest. Candidacy depends on skin thickness and sun damage.

Not the way hyaluronic acid filler can. There is no enzyme that reverses it on demand, so the product has to be right the first time. That is why Tasha places conservatively, assesses the area carefully, and rules out patients this product does not suit.

Sculptra is poly-L-lactic acid and gives no immediate structure at all, so the whole result comes from your collagen over a series. Radiesse gives structure on the day and a collagen response afterwards. Our Sculptra page covers the gradual route. Tasha chooses between them on assessment.

The lips. Radiesse is not placed there, and a firm product in a mobile area reads badly regardless of technique. Hyaluronic acid gels are what we use for lips, and our lip fillers page covers that. Tasha will tell you plainly when an area calls for a different product.

Bruising is possible with any injectable, and the jaw and hands are areas where patients notice it. Blood thinners, fish oil and alcohol all raise the odds, which is part of why we take a full health history. Tasha flags the likelier areas before she places anything.
