Lip Fillers

Lip fillers restore shape and hydration to a mouth that has flattened or thinned. At our Phoenix boutique, Tasha Wright Ford, RN assesses your lip against the rest of your face before she places anything. The aim is your mouth, in proportion.

  • Placed by a Master Injector
  • Lip assessed against the whole face
  • Full health history before any treatment
  • No pressure and no upselling

What It Treats

What Lip Filler Addresses

thin or flattening lips treated with lip fillers in Phoenix

Thin or Flattening Lips

Lips lose height and body over time, and the upper lip usually goes first. A measured placement restores the shape rather than the size. Tasha reads the ratio between your upper and lower lip before she starts.

Causes+

Volume in the lip body reduces with age, and the skin above the lip lengthens, so the red of the lip rolls inward.

How Lip Filler Settles

What to expect, step by step

Tap to flip

Treatment Day

Day 1

Lips swell more than any other area, and they swell fast. What you see tonight is not the result. Cold compresses help, and some bruising is normal.

Tap to flip

Settling

Days 3-14

Swelling drops steadily through the first week and is usually gone by two. The shape that is left is the shape that was placed. Small asymmetries that showed on day two are usually swelling, not gel.

Tap to flip

Holding, Then Softening

Months 6-12

Lips move constantly, so they metabolise filler faster than cheeks do. Most patients are somewhere in this range before they want a top-up; the first treatment often holds a little less than the ones after it.

Why Patients Choose Us

We Would Rather You Came Back for More

Lips are the treatment people most regret rushing. Starting conservatively and building over visits gives you a result you choose, rather than one you are waiting to wear off.

Your plan is set by Tasha Wright Ford, RN, Master Injector, 22+ years in nursing and 16+ years injecting. Dr. Anna Mkrtchyan, Naturopathic Medical Doctor (NMD), is our Medical Director and oversees the medical side of this work.

Most first lip appointments here use less product than the person booked expecting. Lips swell for several days, and the shape you are judging in the mirror on day two is not the one you are keeping.

If your lips do not need filler, or if what is bothering you is the lines above them rather than the lips themselves, we say so. Nobody is booked for the treatment they walked in asking for.

Tasha is truly one of the kindest people you will ever meet, and her expertise in Botox is exceptional. I live in another state and still choose to wait to see her because she is that good. She is professional, knowledgeable, and always makes the experience comfortable. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for quality care and amazing results.

The Appointment

What a Lip Filler Appointment Looks Like

The first appointment is mostly listening and measuring. We take your health history, look at your lip in rest and in a smile, and agree the shape before any product is opened.

Step 01 · History

We Take Your Health History

Every lip plan starts with a complete health history. Cold sore history matters here, along with medications, blood thinners, prior filler and pregnancy. Dr. Anna Mkrtchyan, Naturopathic Medical Doctor (NMD), is our Medical Director.

  • Cold sore history and current medications
  • Every prior lip filler and when it was placed
  • Health conditions that change the plan

Types of Lip Filler

The Filler Follows the Lip

We carry more than one lip filler because lips are not one shape. Softer products suit a subtle, hydrated look; firmer ones hold definition at the border. Which one you get is decided on assessment, and Tasha tells you why.

Restylane Kysse

Restylane Kysse

Restylane Kysse

A flexible hyaluronic acid filler made for lips, designed to move naturally when you speak and smile. Suits patients who want softness with a little definition.

Juvéderm Ultra XC

Juvéderm Ultra XC

Juvéderm Ultra XC

A smooth, slightly firmer hyaluronic acid filler that holds the border of the lip well. Often the choice when the goal is a cleaner outline as much as volume.

RHA 2

RHA 2

RHA 2

A resilient hyaluronic acid filler designed to stretch and recover with movement, so the lip reads natural in motion rather than only at rest.

RHA Redensity

RHA Redensity

RHA Redensity

The lightest filler in the RHA range, used for fine lines around the mouth and a subtle hydration of the lip itself rather than added size.

FAQ

Lip Filler Questions,
Answered

The questions we hear most at our Uptown Phoenix boutique. Anything specific to your lips is answered at your consultation.

Less than most people assume, and it depends on the lip you start with. Tasha measures your upper to lower ratio, the border, and how the lip moves in a smile. Half a syringe is a common answer at a first visit. She gives you the plan and the cost before anything is opened.

We take a complete health history, then Tasha assesses your lip against your chin, nose and smile. You hear what she would place, what she would leave, and what she would not do at all. Nothing is placed in that appointment unless you have agreed the plan.

It is a shape where the upper lip carries a small notch in the center, so the mouth reads slightly open in rest. Whether your anatomy supports it depends on your border, your ratio and how your lip moves. Tasha tells you honestly if the shape will not sit well on you.

The Russian technique places product vertically to add height rather than forward projection. It suits some lips and reads heavy on others. Tasha assesses your ratio and border first, then explains which approach fits your mouth. The technique is chosen on anatomy, not on a request.

A blurred border, a shelf above the lip line, or a moustache-like fullness in the upper lip are the usual signs. It is more common than patients realize and it is correctable. Our lip filler migration page covers the causes and the fix, and Tasha assesses it in person.

Yes. Lips swell more than any other area we treat, and the first day is a poor guide to your result. Bruising is possible too. Tasha tells you what to expect before you book, so you can plan the appointment around your week rather than the other way round.

Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with an enzyme, and that is what we use in lips. It is one of the reasons the lip is treated with hyaluronic acid rather than a collagen stimulator. Dissolving is a treatment in its own right and needs its own assessment.

We are at 707 E Palo Verde Dr, Ste A, Phoenix, AZ 85014, in Uptown Phoenix. Patients travel in from across the valley for lip work and lip correction. Call 602-469-8693 to book a consultation, or use our booking page.
