Juvederm

Juvederm is a family of hyaluronic acid gels, each built for a different job on the face. At our Phoenix boutique, Tasha Wright Ford, RN matches the gel to the area after she has assessed it. The product is the last decision, not the first.

  • Placed by a Master Injector
  • Gel matched to the area on assessment
  • Full health history before any treatment
  • No pressure and no upselling

The Range

What the Juvederm Range Is Built For

midface and cheek volume treated with juvederm in Phoenix

Midface and Cheek Volume

Voluma is the firmer gel in the range, built to hold projection on the cheek and midface. It gives light something to fall on again. Tasha assesses how far the midface has descended before she places any of it.

Causes+

Cheek fat pads slide downward and the bone underneath recedes, so the midface flattens and the lower face reads heavier.

How Juvederm Settles

What to expect, step by step

Treatment Day

Day 1

Immediate shape, plus swelling that overstates it. Juvederm gels carry lidocaine, so the placement itself is comfortable. Some bruising is normal.

Settling

Weeks 1-2

Swelling clears and the gel integrates. Each Juvederm gel is built for a different job, and the one chosen for your area is the one whose settled result we review at two weeks.

Holding, Then Softening

Months 9-18

The firmer Juvederm gels used in cheeks tend to hold longer; the softer ones used in lips go sooner. Most patients plan a top-up in this range, and we tell you which end at review.

Reversible, and We Treat It That Way

Why Patients Choose Us

Reversible, and We Treat It That Way

Juvederm is a hyaluronic acid gel, which means it can be dissolved if the result is not what either of us wanted. That safety net is a reason to be careful, not a reason to be casual.

Your plan is set by Tasha Wright Ford, RN, Master Injector, 22+ years in nursing and 16+ years injecting. Dr. Anna Mkrtchyan, Naturopathic Medical Doctor (NMD), is our Medical Director and oversees the medical side of this work.

We keep hyaluronidase on site, and we will use it if a result needs correcting or if a rare complication calls for it. Knowing that is part of choosing where you have filler placed at all.

Syringes are not a package you work through. We place what the area needs on the day, and if that is less than you booked for, you pay for less.

Tasha is truly one of the kindest people you will ever meet, and her expertise in Botox is exceptional. I live in another state and still choose to wait to see her because she is that good. She is professional, knowledgeable, and always makes the experience comfortable. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for quality care and amazing results.

The Appointment

What a Juvederm Appointment Looks Like

The first appointment is mostly listening and measuring. We take your health history, assess proportion across the whole face, then match a gel from the range to what the assessment found.

Step 01 · History

We Take Your Health History

Every filler plan starts with a complete health history. Medications, blood thinners, prior filler, autoimmune conditions and pregnancy all change what is appropriate. Dr. Anna Mkrtchyan, Naturopathic Medical Doctor (NMD), is our Medical Director.

  • Medications, supplements and blood thinners
  • Every prior filler and where it was placed
  • Health conditions that change the plan

FAQ

Juvederm Questions,
Answered

The questions we hear most at our Uptown Phoenix boutique. Anything specific to your face is answered at your consultation.

Hyaluronic acid, a sugar your body already produces, held in a gel that gives it structure. The gels in the range differ in firmness and in how they move under skin. That is why one suits a cheek and another suits a lip. Tasha matches them at your assessment.

Voluma is one of the firmer gels in the range, made to hold projection rather than to spread. Placed on the cheek it restores the shelf that light falls on, which lifts how the midface reads. Whether your midface needs it is an assessment question, not a product question.

Both are hyaluronic acid families, but they are made by different companies using different gel technologies. They behave differently under skin, particularly in how firmly they hold and how they move with expression. Our Restylane page covers that range, and Tasha chooses between the two on assessment.

Skinvive is placed as microdroplets of hyaluronic acid into the skin of the cheek, rather than underneath it for volume. It targets smoothness and hydration instead of shape. It suits patients who want their skin addressed without any contouring. Tasha assesses whether your skin is the right candidate.

Yes. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with an enzyme, which is one reason Tasha reaches for them in areas where precision matters. Dissolving is its own treatment and needs its own assessment. Collagen stimulators such as Sculptra and Radiesse do not work this way.

It depends on which gel was placed, where it sits, how much movement the area sees, and how quickly your body clears it. A firmer gel in a still area behaves differently to a soft gel in a lip. Tasha gives you a realistic window for your plan at the consultation.

Most patients report pressure rather than pain. The gels in this range carry lidocaine, so the area numbs as the placement goes in. Tasha can add topical numbing where the area calls for it, and she checks in as she works. Lips are what patients tend to feel most.
