What It Treats
When the midface flattens, everything below it reads heavier. Filler placed on the cheek restores the shelf that light falls on. Tasha assesses the whole midface before deciding whether volume belongs there at all.
Fat pads shift downward and bone support recedes with age, so the cheek loses the projection it once had.
What to expect, step by step
Day 1
The volume is there the moment it is placed, along with swelling that makes it read fuller than the final result. Some bruising is normal. Judge nothing today.
Weeks 1-2
Swelling clears and the gel integrates with the tissue around it. This is the window where the result becomes the result, and we review it at two weeks.
Months 6-18
Hyaluronic acid fillers are metabolised gradually. How long yours holds depends on the area, the gel and how much you move it; lips go sooner than cheeks. Most patients plan a top-up somewhere in this range.

The questions we hear most at our Uptown Phoenix boutique. Anything specific to your face is answered at your consultation.
Most fillers we place are hyaluronic acid gels, a sugar your body already makes, held in a gel that gives structure. Others work differently and stimulate your own collagen instead. Sculptra and Radiesse sit in that second group, and Bellafill in a third. Tasha explains which family suits your face.
Our gallery holds the results we are able to publish, with patient permission. Photos are useful for understanding what a change in the midface looks like. They are a poor guide to what your own face needs, because the starting anatomy is different. Tasha assesses that at your consultation.
Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with an enzyme, which is one reason Tasha reaches for them in delicate areas. Collagen stimulators and Bellafill work differently and cannot be dissolved that way. She tells you which category she is placing and what that means before you agree to it.
It does when the product is placed to fill rather than to restore. Faces read heavy when volume is added to an area that never carried it. Tasha places to the structure that has gone and stops when the proportion is right. She would rather review and add later than overshoot.
That is an assessment decision, not a shelf decision. Different gels have different firmness, and different areas need different behavior. We work with the Juvederm and Restylane families as well as collagen stimulators. Tasha matches the product to the job after she has read your face.
Most patients describe pressure rather than pain. Many filler gels carry lidocaine, and Tasha can use numbing where the area calls for it. She works in increments and checks in as she goes. Lips are the area patients tend to feel most.
It is treating the relationship between features rather than one feature on its own. Chin, jaw and midface all affect how the others read, so assessing them together changes what gets placed. Facial balancing has its own page, and it explains how the assessment runs from start to finish.
