Kybella Before and After

We do not publish patient photographs we have not been given permission to publish. Ours are being built from our own treatment room, with written consent, and they go up when they exist. Until then this page does the useful part: how to read a before and after honestly, and what a photograph can never tell you about your own chin.

How to Read a Kybella Before and After

Same Light, Both Frames

Overhead light carves a shadow under the chin, and softer light fills it in. A change in lighting alone can read as a change in contour. Check the shadows first.

Same Angle, Same Distance

A camera raised a few inches shortens the area under the jaw. If the after frame sits higher than the before, the photograph is doing part of the work.

Head Position and the Neck

A lifted chin stretches the skin under it. A tucked chin gathers it. The two frames have to match before you can trust what you are looking at.

How Many Sessions Sit Behind It

Kybella is planned as a series, so a result may represent several appointments. Ask how many, and how far apart, before you compare it with your own plan.

How Much Time Passed

Swelling is part of this treatment, so a photograph taken too early shows swelling rather than result. The useful frame is taken once the area has settled.

Weight Between the Two Frames

The area under the chin answers to overall weight as well as to treatment. A caption that skips that detail is leaving out something you need.

What a Photograph Can Show You

  • The profile line under the chin

Fullness between the chin and the neck reads clearly from the side.

  • How light falls under the jaw

A shallower shadow across matched frames is the change patients notice most.

  • Whether the jawline is easier to follow

Definition along the jaw is what most people are actually looking for.

  • The shape of somebody else's result

Useful as a reference point. It is not a forecast for your anatomy.

What a Photograph Cannot Show You

  • Whether the fullness was fat at all

Loose skin and a muscle band both read as fullness in a photograph.

  • How many sessions that person needed

Series length varies, and captions rarely say. Ask before you compare.

  • What their recovery was like

Swelling is expected here. A still frame says nothing about the days between.

  • Whether you are a candidate

That comes from a health history and an assessment, not from a gallery.

Kybella Before and After FAQ

Kybella before and after,
answered

The questions we hear most about Kybella before and after.

Not published yet. The only photographs we will show are our own patients, with written consent on file. Reposting somebody else's results, or a manufacturer gallery, would tell you nothing about the work done in this room. Ask your provider what she can show you.

Because consent takes time to gather and we will not publish without it. Photographs of a patient belong to that patient. When ours are consented and matched for light and angle, they go on this page and not before.

Ask Tasha Wright Ford, RN when you come in. She will show you whatever she has permission to show, and she will tell you plainly when she has nothing to show for a particular case. Either way you leave knowing what she expects for your chin.

Kybella is planned as a series rather than a single appointment. How many sessions you need depends on how much fullness sits under the chin and how you respond. Tasha gives you that number at the assessment and reviews it as the plan runs.

Kybella is placed to break down fat cells under the chin, and cells that are broken down do not store fat again. Weight change can still alter the area afterwards. Tasha explains what that means for your anatomy before you start.

Then Kybella is the wrong tool, and we will say so at the assessment. Skin laxity answers to a different approach entirely. This is the most common reason we route somebody away from this treatment rather than book it.

Yes, and that is why timing matters. Swelling under the chin is expected with this treatment, and a photograph taken while it is present shows swelling instead of result. We photograph once the area has settled, and we tell you when that is.

Please do, and keep them consistent. Same room, same time of day, same distance, chin level, no filter. Take one from the front and one from the side. Those frames tell you and Tasha more than memory does at your review.
