Neuromodulator (Botox and Dysport) relaxes the muscles that create expression lines, so it is used for the forehead, frown lines, and crow's feet. Hyaluronic acid filler adds volume and structure, so it is used for lips, cheeks, chin, jawline, and under-eyes. Many plans use a little of both, mapped to your face. At your consultation, your injector explains which approach fits your goals before anything starts.
Most people find injectables very tolerable. The products often contain a small amount of local anesthetic, and we can apply numbing cream for filler treatments to keep you comfortable.
