Fine Lines & Wrinkles
Lines That Stay After the Expression Goes
There is a moment when a line stops leaving. You relax your face and it is still there, faint, holding the shape of a thousand expressions. That crossing point decides the treatment. A line that moves and a line that stays need different answers.

Why It Happens
How a Line Becomes Permanent
Every line starts as movement and ends as a crease in the skin itself. Where yours sits on that path decides whether we treat the muscle, the skin, or the volume underneath. Tasha Wright Ford, RN reads that before she recommends anything. Two lines that look identical in the mirror can need opposite treatments.
01
Muscles Fold the Skin
Frowning, squinting and smiling fold the skin along the same lines thousands of times. Skin creases where it is folded most often, exactly like a sheet of paper. Phoenix glare adds squinting to that.
02
Collagen Stops Refilling
Young skin springs back out of a fold because collagen and elastin pull it flat. As both decline the fold stays put, and the line is there at rest. That is the crossing point.
03
Sun Does the Rest
Ultraviolet light breaks down collagen and elastin faster than anything else. Sun damage reads first around the eyes, where the skin is thinnest and the folding happens hardest.
04
Volume Leaves Underneath
Some lines are not creases at all. They are the edge of a fold created when the fat pad above them dropped away, and they need volume instead of relaxing. Neurotoxin will not touch them.
How We Treat It
Four Routes We Use for Lines
Treating lines properly means treating the right layer. Muscle, skin and volume each produce lines that look similar and behave nothing alike. Tasha assesses your face at rest and in movement before she decides which layer to work on.

Botox / Neurotoxins
Neurotoxin that relaxes the muscles making a line every time your face moves.
Patients whose lines show on movement and soften when the face is still, particularly the forehead, brows and around the eyes.
The muscle stops pulling the skin into the same fold, so the skin above it has a chance to settle flat.
Tasha measures how hard each muscle works before she decides on units, which is why movement stays. She takes a full health history first.

LaseMD Ultra
Our non-ablative laser, branded UltraGlo. It works under the surface rather than off it, so the top layer stays intact.
Patients with fine lines from thin, sun-damaged skin, and those wanting texture and tone addressed together.
Fractional columns of energy prompt fresh collagen at depth, which firms the skin holding the line.
Tasha sets the depth after she reads your skin. Some faces need one pass, some need a series, and she tells you which.

RF Microneedling
Radiofrequency energy delivered through fine needles, heating the dermis so it rebuilds collagen.
Patients with crepey texture and lines at rest, especially where skin quality rather than muscle is the problem.
Controlled heat at a set depth prompts a repair response, and the skin firms as new collagen matures.
Depth and energy are mapped per area. Sessions are spaced and reviewed against photographs rather than impressions.

Dermal Fillers
Hyaluronic acid gels that restore volume where a fold has formed because the support underneath left.
Patients with folds beside the nose and mouth, and lines that neurotoxin cannot reach because they are structural.
Volume is placed in the layer that emptied, so the fold above it softens without the line being filled directly.
Tasha treats the cause rather than the crease. Often the midface is restored and the line beside the mouth improves on its own.

What the First Appointment Covers
We watch your face work before we treat it. You are asked to frown, raise, squint and smile, then rest, because the difference between those two states is the whole diagnosis. You leave with a plan and a price, and nothing gets added in the chair. The plan and the price arrive together, before you commit to anything at all.
Health History First
Neuromuscular conditions, medications and pregnancy all change what is appropriate. Every plan starts with the full history before a needle is opened.
Movement Mapping
Tasha watches which muscles pull hardest and in what order. Two patients with the same forehead lines often need completely different placement.
Skin Quality Counts
Relaxing a muscle does nothing for a crease already set into thin skin. Where skin quality is the limit, we plan resurfacing alongside the injectable work.
Protect the Result
Sunscreen and a retinoid hold what you build here better than anything else you can buy. Phoenix light undoes collagen faster than we can replace it.
Where We Start
Most faces get skin quality addressed alongside anything else. A line sitting in thin, sun-damaged skin keeps coming back while the skin stays the same, whatever the muscle is doing.

Recommended Skincare
Glow Peel Pads with TCA
TCA softens the look of fine lines, and the same acid supports collagen by raising ceramide and free fatty acid levels. These are peel strength on a pad, so agree the frequency with your provider before you start.

FAQ
Common Questions About
Fine Lines and Wrinkles
A fine line appears when you move and disappears when you stop. A wrinkle stays. That difference decides the treatment, because a moving line answers to neurotoxin and a resting line needs the skin itself rebuilt.
If the line only shows when you raise your brows, neurotoxin relaxes the muscle making it. If it sits there at rest, the skin has creased and needs resurfacing or collagen work. Most foreheads need some of both.
Carefully. The skin there is the thinnest on the body, so treatment runs at lighter settings. LaseMD Ultra and RF microneedling rebuild collagen without breaking the surface. Neurotoxin is used sparingly around the eye and only where it belongs.
Not when it is dosed to your muscles. Tasha measures how hard each muscle works before she decides on units, which is why movement stays. A frozen face comes from treating everyone the same, and she does not.
It depends on muscle strength, dose and how quickly you metabolize it, which is why two people on the same units get different mileage. Tasha gives you the window she expects for your face at your consultation.
It helps the lines that come from thin, damaged skin rather than from muscle. RF microneedling adds heat at depth, which prompts more collagen than needling alone. It will not soften a frown line your muscles are actively making.
Retinoids and sunscreen genuinely change skin over time, and most of the rest is hydration you can see for a day. Creams cannot reach the depth lasers and collagen stimulation reach. They hold a result well and rarely create one.
You can protect what you have. Daily sunscreen and a retinoid do more than any device sold for home use. Once a line has set into the skin, it needs energy at a depth home tools do not reach.
