Medical Weight Loss

You have done this before, more than once, and the weight came back each time. Medical weight loss in Phoenix should start with a history and labs, not a shortcut. Dr. Anna Mkrtchyan, Naturopathic Medical Doctor (NMD), runs that first appointment.

  • History and labs before anything
  • Led by a Naturopathic Medical Doctor
  • A supervised program, not a product

What It Addresses

What Brings Patients In

weight that stopped moving treated with medical weight loss in Phoenix

Weight That Stopped Moving

You changed what you eat and how you move, and the number held anyway. Thyroid, sleep, medications, and hormones all sit under that. Dr. Anna Mkrtchyan, Naturopathic Medical Doctor (NMD), works through them before she builds a plan.

How the Plan Works

What to expect, step by step

First Weeks

Weeks 1-2

If a medication is part of your plan, appetite usually changes before weight does. Dosing starts low and steps up, so the first weeks are about tolerance, not the number on the scale.

Tap to flip

Steady Change

Months 1-3

Weight moves gradually and unevenly week to week, which is normal. Labs are rechecked and the plan adjusted. This is where the habits that hold the result are built.

Holding

Months 3-6 and On

The plan shifts from losing to maintaining. Dr. Mkrtchyan reviews what stays, what tapers and what changes, because the goal was never the first three months.

Who Runs Your Weight Care

Medical weight loss at GlamWright Medical Boutique is Dr. Anna Mkrtchyan's clinical territory. She takes the history, reads the labs, writes the plan, and reviews it with you. One clinician, from the first visit on.

Dr. Mkrtchyan is our Medical Director and leads weight and wellness care at the boutique. She is direct about what a supervised plan can do, what it asks of you, and when a different route would serve you better.

Tasha owns GlamWright Medical Boutique and brings 22+ years in nursing and 16+ years injecting. The standard she set runs through every service here: assess first, recommend second, and never sell from the chair.

Weight is the appointment people put off longest. You will not get a lecture, a before photo you did not ask for, or a lifted eyebrow at your history. You get questions, testing, and a plan.

Tasha is truly one of the kindest people you will ever meet, and her expertise in Botox is exceptional. I live in another state and still choose to wait to see her because she is that good. She is professional, knowledgeable, and always makes the experience comfortable. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for quality care and amazing results.

How We Work

How Your Plan Gets Built

Medically supervised weight management follows a medical process. A full history, the testing your picture calls for, a plan you understand, and a review date. No part of that is optional here.

Step 01 · History

We Take a Full Health History

Weight history, medications, conditions, sleep, and what you have already tried. The pattern in that history tells us more than a starting number on a scale does.

  • Medication and supplement list
  • Any labs from the last year
  • What has and has not worked before

FAQ

Medical Weight Loss Questions

A full health history, the testing your picture calls for, and a plan written by a clinician who reviews it with you over time. It covers nutrition and movement alongside any prescription support that is appropriate. The supervision is the service, and it is what separates this from a product you buy.

There is no single best one, and anyone answering that question without your labs is guessing. The right choice depends on your health history, your other medications, your goals, and what you can sustain. Dr. Anna Mkrtchyan, Naturopathic Medical Doctor (NMD), works through the options with you at your consultation.

Prescription support is part of medically supervised weight management, and whether any of it suits you is decided after your history and your labs. We do not name or advertise medications online. Book a consultation at our Uptown Phoenix boutique and Dr. Mkrtchyan will go through what is appropriate for you.

Because a name on a web page invites people to shop rather than get assessed, and because the right choice is individual. It is also a boundary our clinic sets on purpose. The specifics belong in a consultation with your history in front of us, and that is where you will get them.

Yes, in almost every case. Thyroid and metabolic markers change what a sensible plan looks like. A treatable cause should be found before anything is built on top of it. If you have recent results, bring them, and Dr. Mkrtchyan will tell you what still needs repeating.

We do not put a figure on that, and you should be wary of anyone who does. Results vary with your starting point, your health history, and what you are able to keep doing. Dr. Mkrtchyan gives you a realistic picture once your labs are back, and revisits it at every follow-up.

We change it. That is what the follow-up visits are for, and it is why the review dates are set before you leave the first appointment. Sometimes the change is nutrition, sometimes it is testing again, and sometimes it is stopping. You will hear the honest read either way.

Call 602-469-8693 or use our contact page to request an appointment. We are at 707 E Palo Verde Dr, Ste A, Phoenix, AZ 85014, in Uptown Phoenix, and patients travel in from across the valley. The first visit is a history and an assessment.
